Welcome to Poncho Huasi of Salta…
where our aim is to give you a real taste of the Wild North West of Argentina.

During your stay, you’ll meet the locals, sample their ancient traditions and get a genuine insight into life in one of the most fascinating parts of South America.

We live 15km south of Salta in the small town of Cerrillos, the heart of the province’s tobacco region, and the gateway to the outstanding scenery of the Valles Calchaquies, and the wine producing district of Cafayate.

Our old colonial house is called Poncho Huasi after the traditional poncho worn by the gauchos of Salta and huasi which means home in the traditional Inca language of Quechua.
Our Journey: From Tradition to Hospitality
With its traditional adobe walls and terracotta tiled floor, the house has been lovingly restored and subtly modernised to provide 21st century comforts, not least a large swimming pool.
